At TAGSCO, we take your privacy and the security of your items seriously. This policy describes how we collect, use, and protect the information you provide when purchasing or activating a Smart QR Tag.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information to provide and improve our services to you:

• Owner Data: When you activate a tag, we collect your name, email address, phone number, and the specific item details you choose to display on your tag's profile.
• Finder Data: When a lost tag is scanned, we may temporarily log the IP address and browser type to facilitate the secure delivery of the profile page.

2. Location Data & GPS Alerts

When your tag is scanned by a finder, our system attempts to capture the GPS location of the scan. This relies on the finder granting location permissions on their device. This data is used exclusively to send an emergency location alert to the tag owner to facilitate the return of the lost item.

3. Email Communications & Consent

By using TAGSCO, you acknowledge that we send two distinct types of emails:

• Transactional & Safety Alerts: When you activate a tag, you implicitly consent to receive critical service emails. This includes order receipts, PIN resets, and emergency GPS scan alerts. These emails are fundamental to the service and cannot be opted out of unless you deactivate your tag.
• Marketing & Promotions: We will only send you newsletters, safety tips, or promotional offers if you explicitly opt-in (check the consent box) during your profile setup or checkout. You can safely unsubscribe from these marketing emails at any time using the link at the bottom of the email without affecting your emergency tag alerts.

4. Public Profile Visibility

You have full control over what personal information is visible to the public. Through your PIN-locked tag management portal, you can toggle the visibility of your phone number and email address. If hidden, finders can still trigger a silent GPS alert to your device without seeing your direct contact details.

5. Third-Party Services

We do not sell your personal data to data brokers. We only share necessary information with trusted third-party partners to operate our service:

• Stripe: For secure payment processing. TagsCo does not store or process your credit card information on our servers.
• SendFox & Brevo: For secure delivery of our transactional alerts and marketing emails.
• Pirate Ship: To generate shipping labels and fulfill your physical orders.

6. Data Security & Deletion

We use industry-standard encryption to protect your data. You reserve the right to request the deletion of your tag profile and associated personal data at any time. To request data deletion or ask questions about this policy, please contact us at support@tagsco.app.
